Early Riot of BlueEarly Riot of BlueEarly Riot of Blue

I love the old gnarled tree trunk in the background.
Nancy and I really enjoy the old botanical garden and are so glad they did not destroy it when the new and much larger garden was developed. The old garden is easily reached and is very walkable. Thought it is not nearly so large as the new garden, it is, nevertheless, very enjoyable. We did not know if any flowers would be in bloom, but decided to check as so many trees are budding out and the weeping willows are very green. It was a very pleasant surprise to find so many early flowers in bloom. As this is a very easy garden to get to we will visit again before we head home.

Old Bouncing Bill was ready to head home and old Stubborn Nancy insisted there had to be flowers in the gardens since she (I) had seen a blooming pink bush in the gardens at the top of the hill from the Botanical Gardens. Also the forsythia has been out for at least two weeks. So............... We walked down and it was already pretty. The azaleas can't be far behind. How we wished that Sara and Emrys were there with us. They came to see the gardens one day when the azaleas were heavenly and I have never forgotten a moment of that day!

Primerose and a snail shell from last year. I fear the snail came to a bad end.

Missing You 2
We wish we were with you in Prague, too, visiting botanical gardens, hanging out in castles, and enjoying lunch on a picnic bench overlooking the river. All your blog posts make me (Emrys) miss Prague, especially in the spring! Shalom, sara and emrys
