I guess we know what AG thinks of the US President!
Ah yes...we have an address! A difficult week long search led us to our Buenos Aires home, in a neighborhood called Palermo. So far we love it. Our studio apartment has complete kitchen, all dishes, utensils, Tupperware, coffeemaker, juice maker and more come with the apartment. The bathroom has a nice shower, great pressure and temperature, a stock of fresh towels are in the closet. There is an expandable table, a love seat sofa, a divider curtain, wood floor, closet space, a dresser, bed with sheets, TV with shows in English, cd player and balcony with a very green view. Our favorite feature of the apartment is the retractable, mini-garage door curtain. We pull down the curtain at night and shut the door to the kitchen and the apartment is completely blacked out from sun!

Our neighborhood has all venues of entertainment and interesting things to do. Two doors down from us is an ice cream shop with my new favorite flavor, Marscopone. We have a variety markets, fresh fruit, fresh vegetables, eggs, peanuts and otherwise. The least expensive shopping we've done is at the Panaderia where we can buy fresh croissants, pastries full of dulce de leche, my favorite

are the chocolate covered cinnamon churros filled with dulce de leche. Its hard to resist, but a big bag of all sorts of bread will usually cost us $7 pesos a visit. A long walk, about 40 minutes, we have a movie theater that costs about $4USD for a ticket to shows in English. The botanic gardens (or the neighborhood stray cat drop off,) is close by and the zoo. Just north we have the park district, where we still need too explore. To the south is Palermo "Soho" where a new club of "Playboy and Axe Body Spray" just opened, a small plaza where people sell their handmade jewelry and more shopping.

Also, the subte (subway) system is 5 minutes from our apartment as well as a train station. The line closest to us goes directly to the area I work in about a half hour ride. We love this feature and are quickly learning the quirks of riding the subte. We have spent a week here and have made a goal to go to a different neighborhood each weekend. Here, everyone mellows out on Sunday. Shops have strange hours or are completely shut for the whole day,

it was very boring last week and we think visiting other neighborhoods will have better entertainment value for us. Pictures of the neighborhood coming soon...

Some of the most interesting buildings are the old ones. We think people still live here.

I took this picture to remember any chances of getting close to real Mexican food.

One of my favorite things to do in Palermo, check out the menus posted on the side. We decided this is very close to a Mexican menu because it included tacos and enchiladas.

No mention of a Bidet in the bathroom. Do you have one? I loved using bidets when I was there!

Bidet
Oh, I totally forgot to mention our bidet. I like bidets too! This one is off balance and is super water pressured that shoots up to the ceiling! So funny... good game last week, sorry about the outcome!
