Hi everyone:
Well here we are in Alberta at Sharon's Mom and step-Dad's! We arrived about 2:30 P (Alberta time) yesterday afternoon. My masters were both very tired and so retired early. We all had a great night of sleep and are feeling much better today.
None of us spent a very good night in the motel the night before last. Even though my masters sprayed and had a plug-in deodorizer, it only masked the tobacco smell very temporarily. So we were up early (5:30 AM) and on the road. We had breakfast at Tim's (I got my plain old-fashioned doughnut!) and then were on our way.
Our trip was very uneventful except for one bright moment - well actually about an hour. We stopped in Saskatoon and visited with “uncle” Don's sister, Rosemary. We met her at A&W and had lunch/breakfast there. Sharon appreciated meeting Rosemary and my masters had a good visit catching up on the news. Rosemary is busy with two jobs - part-time at her church and at the Holiday Inn Express. She had to get back to the church for a special program right after lunch.
My masters had a problem with the GPS yesterday too. “Annie” as they call her, wanted to take them up to Lloydminister and then down to Wainwright, while there was a direct route over here right from North Battleford. Anyway we got here with no problems - but boy is Annie stubborn - at times! Sure is not like me - so conforming and obedient!!
We hope to find an internet cafe or some means of getting my blog out today. Also my master is taking the car in for regular maintenance and a cleaning. But other than that it is a rather quiet day today. That will be nice after the busy days we have had getting here.
Oh yes did I mention that my master was stopped by a policeman yesterday?? He was trying to figure out which turn was the right one for #40 highway just outside of North Battleford, and wasn't concentrating on his speed, when the policeman, sitting on the side of the road, put on his lights and pulled us over. The policeman was very understanding and nice about the whole thing, and just told my master too slow down a bit, before giving him his papers back, and sending us on our way! Thank you, Mr. Policeman!
Well, we will try and give a bit more of a report about Wainwright tomorrow.
That would be one big Woof-Woof for now then.
Benji!
P.S. My masters have decided that the trip to Fort McMurray is too much for them! They are getting old, ya know - especially my master!! They are disappointed in not being able to visit with the family members up there. But with so much trip ahead, and being as tired as they are after the first 6 days on the road, they felt this was the best decision.

No doubt you are tired out. I am tired on your behalf just by reading about all the travelling! We are so glad you could stop and visit Rosemary. She is a special sister for sure. Enjoy your down time. Hugs from all of us. Nan, Don, Will and Jacks.

What a trip!
I've enjoyed hearing about your trip. It was the same as the route I travelled last May until you crossed the trans-Canada and went north to Saskatoon. There I went west to my sister's in Gull Lake. Give my greetings to Gloria and Lloyd.
