Still Bondi Beach

The weather here has been great; no more clouds and rain, just sun! I've been having a good time here at Bondi and I will probably stay until Sunday when I fly out to New Zealand.

Tuesday I took the bus back into Sydney to Darling Harbour and went to the Star City Casino. I got ten dollars in free play and six free drinks (non-alcoholic though!) I even had two guys fighting over who was going to get me a drink...if only they were 60 years younger! I left there about $8 richer than when I went in, so I was happy. Then I walked through some of the larger shopping centres and wished I had a larger backpack; I did leave with a tanktop though. I also toured through Chinatown, which was very cool and the food was quite cheap there.

Today I took the coastal walk to Coogee Beach which was, as you guessed it, beautiful. It is just over an hour walk and there's a few other little bays and beaches along the way. There is a skateboarding tournament on Saturday which should be great to watch. The skatepark is right beside the beach and they have been practicing all week. They are so amazing, I could watch them all day.

That's all for now. I hope to just relax in the sun for the next few days! Oh yeah, and get my laundry done!

So glad the weather is cooperating for "beaching". We went to a few beaches in Victoria, but not quite warm enough to swim or suntan! Glad to hear you are seeing all the sites. Too bad you have to fit things like "laundry" in to your busy schedule. It is great to read your blogs; keep 'em up! Love Mom
