Where it all began and ended..
The first and last hostel I stayed in. Toronto!!!!!!
Back at the beginning!!!!!!!
Well as I said in my last blog, it was grey and rainy. Very grey and rainy. I rode the bus untill I got to my hostel, luckily this time with having some knowledge of the city I got there easy and also luckily my room was on the ground floor this time so no lugging my case up the stairs. I got in and despaired that there wasn't ensuite like before....then found that it was and went to sleep.
I woke up after a fair while, and didn't really do much besides have another wander round the city for a good while, going in shops and having McDonalds to which by now I was addicted to. I got my coat zip stuck and after struggling in vain for ages had to go to tourist information where one of the woman there sorted it out. I got some food and decided to stay in when I was back at the hostel. I got talking to an irish and and australian pair of girls and went out for a drink with them, we ran into an australian guy on the way who joined us.
The CN Tower
Think I lost my shot of this when I lost my 1st camera in New York so here it is again! That was alright, pretty chilled, nothing wild, saw some crazy woman in the bar and the australian guy did special effects via computer imagery for movies. I headed back with the girls who was staying at the same hostel and had a sleep.
I woke up next day, left my luggage in storage and headed out for the last time in the city. I was feeling a little rough and decided to have breakfast/lunch at Hooters. I had fish and chips, not as good as home I have to say but a pretty decent view. I got a pic with one of the girls and headed out going in shops and getting last minute gifts and memento's. Luckily the day was a sunny one this time so it wasn't too bad and for the last time I went back to the hostel to collect my stuff to go for the bus to the airport. I have to say, nearly every flipping taxi and car was honking at me, guessing I was going to the airport and offering to take me there. They do this as the airport is actually a fair way from the city so it would have
Weird statues..
in Toronto...don't ask.. been a nice fare for them, but I had a ticket for the bus already. I got the bus and endured listening to noisy women speaking god know's what language at the top of their voice before I got to the airport.
I was early but got through check in straight away and at security guess what? I got stopped again!! I got manually searched this time, thank god not a strip search. I was told it was random but I think maybe they have something against me at that place. Still I survived and got through to hang around for ages as I was so early. Got some duty free for home but they didn't have an electronics store so no cheap Ipod, which was my plan to get. I got on the plane eventually and was away.
On the plane they showed a couple of films, Evan Almighty which I ended up watching but not listening to coz I'd didn't put my headphones in and then Hairspray which I did listen to, although at the start it seemed I had it on the wrong channel as they were speaking french. The 1st song was in english,
Hooters!!!
My last lunch on my trip, it had to be Hooters. I got the girl that served me to pose for a pic...they insisted I hold their calander up as well. Anything for a free ad eh? then she was in a french class so thought it was part of the film, and then when she went home and John Travolta was speaking french, I knew I had it on the wrong channel.
Other the long queues for the toilets, the flight was pretty uneventful and it wasn't too long before I was over Ireland and back flying over the shores of Great Britain.
We flew in no issues, and got through the long queue at security before claiming my bag and being grateful the zip hadn't busted open, as it had threatened to when I was in Camrose.
I went through to arrivals and met my mum and nan who greeted me and drove me home.
So that was that. 3 months all done. Over 20 places visited, god knows how many miles covered, a number of truama's gotten through, a fair few nights out on the old sauce, beaches sat on, roads driven on, guns shot, a variety of foods consumed and a merriade of people met.
Hard to believe its all done really. I think back to it now and remember what I was doing, or wonder what
the hell I was doing in some cases.
It was fun, it was hard, it was an expierence.
Steven Stone has done the USA and Canada....though as there were places I wanted to see and didn't, will I do it again????????
Maybe, we will see ;-)
Hope you (whoever 'you') may be, enjoyed reading this. Bare in mind its all true and I lived it so think of me when you read it.
Until next time.......

Great blog, thanks for finishing it off!
I've found this whole blog trip a really interesting read, and a good incite in to a trip around America. If you have just read this last page I highly recommend reading the entire blog from the beginning. Honest, well written, funny, and well finished off. Thanks alot Walkindude, I look forward to reading more blogs in the future, if you do anymore some day. I think it has encouraged me to write a blog myself. Cheers, Graham
