Full Moon and Koh Tao

Okay, I've been here over week now so probably time for my next blog! I'm trying to keep these short but sweet but so much seems to happen it could be tough!

Firstly, following on from my last entry I'm sure you will all be relieved to hear I got my bag back. It was amazing!!! I couldn't believe it, never thought I was gonna see that thing again. Mark and I went to the airport so I could pick up some compensation money from Quantas Airlines and it was just there, honestly the most relieved I have ever been! Anyway, with that out the way we got an early flight the next morning as planned down to Koh Phangan for the full moon party... it was awesome!!! The island is beautiful and dispite being seeming solely dedicated to western tourists, it was still an amazing few days. We stayed in a really secluded little resort with its own beach which cost me 480B for 3 nights (which is about 2.80 a night (no pound sign on the comp here ) ) The party itself was mental- 15,000 people raving around on a beach all day and all night -so much fun!

Moving swiftly on, after a days recovery we took a boat trip round the island for waterfall swimming, snorkeling and lunch, (all 3 of which were great.) The island is spectacular but after a few days there it seemed like time to move on so we took a ferry to the small neighbouring island of Koh Tao! Pretty much all the rooms here were booked; so we have somehow managed to spend the last 3 days literally staying in a massage parlour, which they have basically closed so we can sleep in there. So Random! Anyway - Koh Tao is amazing! Possibly even more beautful than Koh Phangan and although has the same sort of touristy vibe all round the place it is a bit more chilled out. Went deep sea fishing last night which was a total wash out as Lisa and Rick got sea sick and spent most of the 6 hour trip asleep and dispite my incredible efforts I managed not to even catch a single thing! (which wa pretty demoralising as even Lisa managed to catch one in the half an hour she did it for...)

Today was much better, went on a snorkeling trip: Water so clear, thousands of tropical fish everywhere. Textbook!!! Can't say it any plainer than that. Think we are moving on tomorrow and I don't want to write too much more so as before, thanks for reading and I hope England is cold!

Speak soon,

Andy x
