so i have officially been in sevilla a week! this place is a-mazing. so last night, beth and i went shopping for a couple hours because i needed tights and she needed notebooks... then we came home and had a delicious dinner... our señora is in a choir so she prepared dinner for us early and then we ate after she left. it was beth, brittney jenny and i at dinner. i dont know if i said anything about jenny yet... but she is in the same program brittney is in but instead of staying the semester, she is doing a january-term, so she will be leaving friday. she´s kinda weird. haha. she stays in the house a lot and has already memorized the times and channels of all the american tv shows in spanish. (smallville, simpons, gossip girl... and so on)... we got the whole run-down last night at dinner. then, beth and i were wondering how she spoke so well in spanish to our señora, and that´s when we found out she´s mexican and her first language is spanish. haha. then i didn´t feel so bad for not speaking fluently yet. last night after dinner, like 50 people from our program went to this bar called Función ... it is across the river, which from our house is at least a 45 minute walk. they had a beer pong tournament but only 16 teams, and we got there in time for 2 more teams to sign up, so i decided not to scare everyone with my mad beer pong skills too early in the trip, and let some other people play instead. lucky for me.... it was ladie´s night. hahahhaa. free sangria until 1am for all girls. so that was lovely. we left that bar about 2am and everyone was heading home. i was with beth and 2 others from our program when we got called into a bar for chupitos .. (shots) hahaha (sorry mom and dad they were free). so anyway, we´re hanigng out in there for awhile, when the bartender starts telling me about an "american party" they are having at the bar on jan 31st. he asked if i would help make a banner for them. so they hung this huge banner on the wall and gave me 5 markers and wrote down what i was supposed to write. hahaha it was really fun. we ended up getting home around 4am with class at 10am. luckily i felt decent in the morning... and i only had my art history class today. i really love that class. the teacher shows us slides of famous paintings and we talk about each one for about 20 minutes and tells us all these interesting facts about them. after class today me and some other chicas attempted to book our trip to paris. ahhhh how annoying. it toook us foreverrr and still, no luck. we are going to an american travel agency tomorrow to figure things out. this weekend we are going to gibraltar to see some monkeys. haha other than that, i don´t have much info. ok well, lunch is at 230 so i must go. ¡adios amigos!
