Bridge
Our first glimpse Arrived in Sydney, 8 am, to a bizarre baggage collect and cusstoms experience where you had to gget an all important green stamp to be allowed through. We got straight on the train (god bless Trip Advisor for that tip) and 20 mins later we were at our apartments. The room wasn't ready so we walked in our boiling hot travelling clothes to see the bridge and Opera House...
Was soo tired so could not fully appreciate its beauty and it was very hot so walked back!!!! The room was ready at about 11.30 so we took our stuff up. It is brilliant just what we need, clean, big and fully equipt! Laid on the bed which was a bit of a misstake!
Woody went straight to sleep and I followed shortly after! Only slept for an hour though tnen showered and went out at about 2pm.
Walked to Circular Quay and took in the breathtaking sights. We were both a bit delirious with jet lag so couldn't believe what we were seeing. OH MY GOD WE WERE IN AUSTRALIA!!!! Walked through the Botanical gardens which were amazing, saw bats, parrots and what looked like kiwis...? Went all the way to
OH
Sydney baby !!!!!! Mrs Mcquaries Point. By this time we were exhausted and hungry so made our way back and stopped at the Quay for an early dinner at 5 ish. Had some gorgeous pasta and Woody had barramundi fish. Staggered home (not with drink but tiredness!!) crashed as soon as we got in, fast asleep by 8!! Rock and roll!!!

Happy New Year Travellers!
Happy New Year Kids! Sounds like you're having an amazing time - drink through the jet lag - works a treat!! Hope you had a fab new years evening, looking forward to reading all about it. This techonology stuff is cool! We had alcohol-free evening with brother-in-law and neighbours, first hangover free new years day in 15 years - bizarre, not sure what to do with ourselves as usual head-down-loo day is unrequired. Bring on next year! ;-) Hope 2008 brings all you can dream of, you both deserve ev ery happiness. Stay away from the spiders, drink lots of lager, pet the kangaroos and savour every second. Much love to you both, Ems and Mark xxxxx p.s. why were you taking a pork pie over to Oz?! Maybe I read it incorrectly, don't have my glasses on! Love E xxx
