on christmas eve we were delivered some super fabulous stuff. a HUGE donation that will pay for an important building project we have going on...annnd...TWO INFANT BOYYYYYYS!!!!!!!
they're not related, but from the same hospital. one is a premature 18-day old and the other is 5 days old. they are the same size. i'm holding one as i type right now, and i'm also getting my hair braided by one of our older girls.
i'll write more later.
i wish i could experience this with my fam and friends but i wouldn't rather be anywhere else in the world right now. i've waited for a christmas with all of these people for SO LONG and it's finally a part of my life now.
for christmas eve i hung out with my friend kemar and met up with a bunch of his friends from our lil country community. it went too fast. it was nice to walk all over town and talk. i'm glad i got to be a part of their culture and it was weird to walk by margueritaville and see so many tourists sticking to that. i am so blessed with all these kids and staff and trustworthy jamaican man friends to hang out with occasionally. there are finally some girls from our area around my age smiling and saying hi to me so that's nice, too.
we had a christmas morning church service in our front yard. it was so nice to have extra company and afterwards we had spice bread and sorrel and the kids played in the yard and went swimming.
the baby i'm holding is a spit-up machine by the way. i think he spit up 4 times since i started typing this. i have ...oh...5 now...i forget what i was going to say.
he's crying.
i'm over typing right now...
more later. merry christmas!!

Hi Stina, Kris is comming tomorrow with some stuff from us. there are some gifts for the kids. I hope we sent enough for everyone. there are little play-dohs and stuff like that We tried to send a variety of things for the different ages and genders. We gift wrapped everything, and after I mailed it I realized that Kris may have had to unwrap it all to get it on the plane. (saftey rules) We had Christmas afternoon with Cal, Nancy and Trevor. He's up and about (slowly) and looking well. Trevor has been accepted into the music program at SSU(where Madeline goes),but he's waiting to see what the other schools he applied for respond before he makes a final decision. This was the tirst time in YEARS that we've spent with them. They usually the holiday in MN. I have to go to work this mOning. We are going to see Ama this afternoon. Bye, Love you, Mommy OOXXOO

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Dear friend!
Hello Stina- it is great to see how you are doing and to hear all the the Lord is allowing you to be a part of. I am sure you are such a blessing to the people there, your kind, patient and giving heart. We miss you, think of you and pray for you often. It has been an eventful fall for us as a family, my dad died from cancer on Oct 31 and it has been difficult for all of us....Although we are so excited for for Him to be with the Lord but we miss him greatly. It has been difficult. Hume is good, but we sure miss you too. email us if you have the chance, but for now know that we love you, we believe in you and the beautiful gift that you are from the Lord to us and to others. Happy New year - Love Jen, Jon, Genevieve, Jacob and Gerrit Nelson
