Hello Everyone! Sorry about the big delay! And Im also sorry about the bad title - I just couldnt resist.

So since writing last, I left Luxor and spent a whopping 11 hours going to Kharga Oasis. Although it was tiring, I sat next to a lovely Egyption family along the way who fed me. Everytime I finished a sandwich, out popped a bigger and better one. It was heaven.
I then went to Dahkla Oasis the following day - where I spent a couple of days there. On the first day I decided to head towards the beautiful limestone mountains..but they were a lot further away than they looked. Anyway I ended up walking many miles through quaint little towns and finally had tea at a police check point before heading back to town. The town I was staying in was full of pretty little mud huts which was nice.
The next day I went on a tour as all of the attractions are too far out to walk to by foot. After much haggling I got a day tour for 3 pounds (down from 15) which was good - especially considering I saw him pay the driver 5 pounds!! We went to Al Qasr (see picture) - an even quainter little town and sand dunes which were great and peopleless. I also got free food. Not only from the tour guide but from my hotel manager who gave me a massive dinner. It was great.
I then had a long bus ride back to Cairo (14 hours) and then left the next day to St. Katherines in Sinai. It was beautiful. Amazing. The town was surrounded by massive mountains. But on the negative side...it was so so cold! Luckily on the bus I met a nice man who worked in a hotel there and he got his brother to lend me his coat which was very much needed. The first day I walked in Moses footsteps and climbed Mt. Sinai (the mountain where he received the 10 commandments). And I too was struck by the heavens above - from the almighty BOB. I received great commandments like - Bobby shall take thousands of photographs with nobody in them! And so on. Although the scenery was great (see picture), it was torture getting up the mountain. They said it was would take 2 hours - it took me double!
My legs ached a lot the following day and so I just had a look in the monastry which was nice and saw the famous burning bush.
I planned to get the only bus a day to Dahab the next day but it decided not to come and so i did little walks in the area and stayed another night. The next day I went to get the bus again..and again it failed to show up. After much haggling I got a minibus to Nuweiba and stayed the night in a beach hut by the sea which was lovely.
Yesterday I got the ferry to Aqaba in Jordan and had massive heart attacks when I was faced with the costs of things. Its terrible. Luckily I teamed up with two other backpackers and we shared a room which was good. I looked at the fort and old ruins in town today and I am hopefully heading to Petra in a minute.

Dad - I normally have a couple of pieces of bread for breakfast, lunch and dinner. And water too. Haha. It doesnt sound too great but its fine! I keep thinking about Cathedral City cheese. And pizza.

Is everyone getting into the christmas spirit yet?

I hope you enjoy the camel picture too!

Burning Bush
Did you take a picture of the Burning Bush? It must be "to a crisp" after 3000 years ? Is the picture entitled "Dunes" supposed to be the bush ?
