Such memories You certainly will have some wonderful experiences to look back on. Was that legs we could see in the dead sea? We are knee deep in family history at the moment - such amazing discoveries.
It is lovely for you to do such a trip at Christmas time. Are you going to do a presentation/film show at the Benjies when you get back. Happy birthday to the other Bobby today. Makes your Auntie J feel very old!!
Jeeesus Well, no one can say you're not adventurous or take few risks in life!!!
I think you're giving us all heart attacks over here. I'm looking forward to the ssing where you end up sleeping in Behtlehem if there's no room at the expensive inn?
GREAT pics again.
See you next week.
Dad
Burning Bush Did you take a picture of the Burning Bush? It must be "to a crisp" after 3000 years ? Is the picture entitled "Dunes" supposed to be the bush ?
now i know Now I know what Laurence of Arabia's mum must have felt like - not getting a postcard from the desert for months on end. Ok it was only a few days but it felt like longer....:-( Glad you are back onto the internet. love mumsy xxxxxxxxxx
Nearly "Dune" roaming Hi Bobby - was the camel camera shy? I know it probably would have cost money to take his picture from the front! Did you have a ride on one? I hope all your transport is air-conditioned otherwise phew it must be so hot! I am writing my Christmas cards and I expect your Dad is busy doing this too!! Weather is getting colder. Have you found a Tescos yet? Love J and K and little S
What lovely Pics
Hi Tan,
Yet again some great pics (hardto choose a desk top!) and amazing stories. Must admit your getting taken away in a little boat to an island was a little worrying but it seems that yet again you met nice people not the nasty ones we hear about all the time.
How big is football there - any kids in English team tops? How's abut world news do you hear much and what about tele and
what is your staple food (are you gettign your five portions a month?).
Lastly, have you had many Madelyn sightings?
Catching up Only one month to go...... I have just caught up with your blogs- sorry. Work have been very hot on anyone looking at blogs during the day and they have been holding public executions of any Portsmouth City staff they have caught blogging! Looks like you are having a great time and managing not to spend any money at the same time. How do you do it? I guess that you could give master classes now on budget holidays. While you are wandering around the middle east I dont suppose you could get me a corner of a Pyramid! I dont suppose that anyone would miss it. If not I will settle for a picture of a desert sunset with a camel in it. Sorry about the camel bit but Aunty Janet and I obviously have a thing about them. Probably due to being frightened by one in the Crystal Palace zoo. Keep on enjoying yourself and I will blog again soon promise. Uncle R
Wow !! Quite an amazing adventure and away from the crowds again. It must be great to see World Heritage Sites completely devoid of people !
Good luck with the next leg, will save Neil's news until you get back
Sand glorious sand Hi Tanya - we have put the picture of Elephantine Island on our desktop. Wonderful pictures again and amazing stories. What sort of food are you eating? Sheeps eyes?? You are certainly a very adventurous young lady! Must take after your dad!!!!
Love J and K x
What no people? You seem to be following the Bobbies theme Bobby with no other people in the photos. How is the camel searching going? Have you encountered any scary wildlife? Love J and K
the valley is king, i crown it in my heart hey bob, the valley of the kings looks amazing!!! well done!!! im loving all the free stuff too im impressed!!! am im glad i did well in the quiz, i would hate to think the distance between us was weakening bobby power. Dont forget to do another quiz for me next time xxxx
You're spending too much! You could even teach me a lesson or two when it comes to watching the pennies - well done my wee bonnie lass.
I like the look of the Valley of the Queens - although it's a little
less impressive than the Valley of the Kings. Is it the Valley of the Princes next?- I understand it's full of council flats.
Love the pics, and the strories - I wish I was a brave as you!!
Those boots are made for walking My goodness Bobby don't you get so hot when you are walking? Hope you have your sun screen on (I sound like your mother!)
You are so lucky to meet all these helpful people on the way.
Love J and K x
Ain't no river wide enough... And ain't no mountain high enough either , by the sound of it, for a Bobby. The Habu temple is my screensaver this week and I have googled it as never seen pictures of that before and I loved reading about your adventuring in the Valleys of the Kings and Queens. Watched Long Way Down on the tv yesterday - Ewan McGregor spent all of 5 screen seconds in each of Luxor and Aswan, so go on get some vids up on Youtube:-)!! Sun is shining here today...love and big hugs ooooo Mumsy xxxxx
