Only ended up spending the morning in Sucre, lovely place though, wanted to get down to the Salt flats as quick as possible. Slightly dodgy travelling alone in Bolivia, so jumped on another bus to Potosi. 4 hrs later arrived in the poorest place I´ve been so far.
Decided not to stay and got another bus ticket for 8pm the same night. Waited around the terminal for a bit and finally got on the bus. Then the s**t hit the fan. Had my day pack imbetween my legs, squashed against the seat in front as to keep it nice and safe. Then just before the bus left my bag disappeared! Noticed straight away, got up but it and no one was to be seen. Didn´t really know what to do so just sat back down, no way I was ever going to find it again.
So sitting on the bus trying to work out what had been in my bag! : (
Lost my journal, camera (all my photos), ipod, passport, George, and basically everything that I use on a daily basis!
Wasn´t too bothered about the money or my passport, but no more journal or George!
View from the hostal
Typical street in La Paz Arrived into Tupiza in the small hours of the morning and found myself a hostel. Spent the next day on the phone to everyone, stopping stuff etc and in the police station getting a report written up. Was going to try and blag my way into Argentina but after speaking to the Embassy decided to go back to La Paz. Also got a new journal, starting to put it all back together again.
So onto another bus (18hrs) back up to La Paz, 3rd overnight bus in 4 days! Problems getting to La Paz due to road blocks and had to get off the bus and walk the last little bit, love Bolivia!
Back to Loki hostel again, were very helpful and sorted me out with some money etc. Then to the embassy to get a new passport sorted, going to pick it up tomorrow morn (tues).
As I had no money and nothing really to do, got a job working behind the bar at the hostel, free accomodation and discounts on beer etc. Did a couple of shifts and basically hung around in the bar the rest of the time. Met loads of people though so
Wasting Time
Playing a bit of shithead ot the bar was quite fun, just not too happy about wasting time in a gringo party hostel.
Another party on Saturday night, this time toga party, was very fun and met up with Jungle Man Bram and some of the other girls from the jungle. Good to see them again.
Mon- Rang to check with the embassy that my passport was ready and went to get a bus ticket for Tupiza. Turned up at the embassy on Tuesday, ´hay un problema´music to my ears, no bloody passport! So back to Loki again, much to everyones amusement, is actually getting quite funny. So another day in the bar, catching up on my journal etc.
Still no idea when I´m actually going to be able to leave, they´re going to call me when its ready!
All fun an games! Was going to put some good photos up but only have pictures from the last few days, only just found myself a good camera (is very nice though).
Just got an email, passport is ready, travel time again! woooo!

So I´m going to go out on a limb and say that you had your pack stolen because you weren´t traveling with a big muscular guy from California. Muscluar? Sorry I had to split but man...fuck...so sorry to hear that. Bolivia is dodge central...I find it great you are working at Loki...that was a great time on Halloween, and hey that´s still the best party hostel ive been to yet...Get the hell out of Bolivia ASAP and if you can make it, you wont want to hear this, get to Bariloche ARG because its amazing, but keep it real, say whatup to the millions of Irish you are now working with. Peace brother
