my tooth is much better, thankfully. i have a follow up appointment this thursday, but i don't think that's going to be good for much of anything besides getting rid of 100 euros. oh well.

i've also been having trouble with my atm card . my bank cancelled all of its atm and debit cards, and while they sent me a new one, they sent it to america and that didn't do much good. my grandma sent me my new debit card by ups express, but i was without money for a week. thank goodness laura was around. she covered me for my eurail pass and paid for a couple of my meals. the money situation is all straighted out, though, and i even found out that i have a lot more money in my account than i expected .

more about my eurail pass. eurail passes are like train ticket packages. i bought one that is good for four countries , and eight days. this means 8 days of travel to anywhere in those four countries for the price of 345 euros. this is pretty good consider that two days of travel to just about any surrounding country would cost about two hundred dollars. keri and laura got eurail passes, too, and this thursday we are leaving for a 6 day vacation in the swiss alps, where we will be paragliding, sledding, drinking hot chocolate, eating fondue, and just all around relaxing and enjoying being away from city life. i'm sooooo excited. we are also going to munich over thanksgiving break, and will be using two more of our travelling days for the optional trip to venice that our school is hosting. since i have two more days than laura and keri, i also plan to go visit an acquaintance who is studying in austria. woo!

we have almost no homework, so laura keri and i have just been sitting around the past two days, acting extremely goofy. we watched a horrible movie called fortress last night. i recommend that all of you watch it for a good laugh. i warn you though, its of no use to question anything in that movie. just turn off your brain when the movie starts playing.

i might throw some random around rome pictures in this entry. i've got a lot ya'll haven't seen yet.

today we were going to go to some museum for our art history class but were not able to do so because of a strike. i don't know what kind of strike it was, but i quite enjoyed watching it. it was very peaceful and looked pretty fun. i wish i had had my camera. i looked at my camera today and though "eh, it's just going to be more ruins, i'll leave this home." i've learned my lesson now.

eurail passes
rockin!! eurail passes were the smartest thing austin and i bought for europe. i'm not going to lie, they are pretty flippin sweet. you will love munich. i had so much fun there. im sure you know, but check hostelworld.com for cheap places to stay when you travel. we stayed at the Meininger City Hostel, which was more like a big hotel, but it was right across the street from one of the best beer gardens in town and it had the hook up on a pretty sweet free tour of the city. plus its near the main train station so its convenient. i loved austria as well. im really jealous about you gong to the swiss alps! i hope you enjoy every minute. o and never forget to carry your camera. even some of the museums are ok w/ you taking pictures if you dont use a flash. i got pretty good w/ my night vision and no flash. im stoked you are doing awesome over there. cant wait to hear more. life is busy over here too. caroline and i are still dating, but taking it uber slow. sometimes i think it annoys our friends how slow we are taking this, but its perfect for us. I know that I am where God wants me to be right now (today anyways) and for now that includes caroline. its actually really comforting. but i could go on for hours about that. i know you want to hear more about our ives back home so feel free to ask questions. love ya--later
