Ok, ok, firstly very sorry for the lateness of this entry, but we have been super busy adventuring!!!!

Where to start....

We left Port Maquarie after our last blog entry and initially headed for Coffs Harbour, but not ten mins into the trip we got a bit distracted by a sign for the "Billabong Koala Park" and we just had to pull in, as despite the numerous signs warning us about them on the side of the road we had yet to see one! They are awesome!!!! (check the pics)
After an hour or so we were back on the road and got to Coffs Harbour in no time where we spent two wonderful days, and managed to find some more ridiculous tourist attractions, namely the 'Big Banana' (its massive!)
We found a beautiful, but windy beach (Moonee Beach) and chilled out for a few hours but being turned into sand dunes isnt as much fun as we made it look!
There wasn't really much else to do in Coffs Harbour so we headed up the coast for the infamous Byron Bay, which was ridiculously busy when we arrived. Despite what you hear about Byron being an amazing, chilled out and beautiful place we found it to be much the same as all the other costal towns apart from the pretensious Hippies, who seem to be hanging about trying to be cool and 1960's, but failing. We took a drive out to the Alternative Lifestyle Capital of Australia.....Australias very own Amsterdam (or so they claim) Nimbin, which again seemed to be trading off its name and reputation these days, although you could see that in its day it would have been a fantastic and very beautiful place and way to live.
Oh, we also picked up our first tropical storm.....which is following us!!!

Next stop.......Surfers Paradise where Craig finally gave in to his inner (and now very outer) surfer and bought a body board, so we spent a few hours on the beach (Gemma) and getting battered by the surf (Craig)
When we'd had enough of the beach (the clouds started apperaring - god damn storm again) we went in search of our very fancy accomadation for the night Hyatt Hotel (Paradise, no offence Clarence!)

After a wonderful night it was back to our beloved Clarance and on our way to Australia Zoo, better known as Steve Irwin,
Peek-A-BooPeek-A-BooPeek-A-Boo

Quite possibly the cutest lil thing!!!
The Crocodile Hunters Zoo. (crikey) It was awesome, make sure you check the pics it is an amazing place, a real tribute to the man.
Maryborough, or as we renamed it Scaryborough was our stop off point for the night, it was a long drive in the dark and with the big storm chasing us we made it just intime before the clouds and storm broke......after spending most of the night being eaten alive, the morning light showed us what we had let ourselves in for - White Trash Trailer Park Heaven! Needless to say we got the hell outta dodge!

Initially our plan was to go and spend a few days on Fraser Island but the storm put a stop on that plan so we carried on trekking to spend the night in Australias Beef Capital - Rockhampton.

We would also like to let any worried parents know that we have been eating extremley well, and would go as far to say 'Eating Like Kings' we have included photographical evidence, please excuse the alcohol - it's all Craig ;-)

Anyway, we are sitting in a random internet cafe in Mackay on our way to Conway Nature Reserve near the Whitsunday Islands, and we PROMISE to update more regularly!!

Bring me a Kevin!
Hey guys- this the first time I've looked at the blogs- it looks awesome/spunky/crunky/bonzer/wicked whichever is geographically acceptable. I really want a koala- think it would give teds the willies! We're all OK here- teds radiographs are apparently normal, but we'll get a surgeon at college to verify. He's on a course of metacam so we'll see. He doesn't appear overly bothered though, I must say! Any who, must get to the research Take care and rock on. Spans
