Another early departure from the Estancia and another long drive day to Cafayate in the wine region. Not a great deal to report except that we had to camp overnight at the side of the road in a nature reserve - not a BP in sight this time.

Up at 7 the next morning and felt a few rumblings in my stomach. I knew I needed to go, but there were no facilities around and the next petrol station was about an hour away. Could I hold on? I didn't want to risk it to be honest (following the Sea World incident when I was 10) so grabbed a trowel and headed into the woods.

Dug myself a nice little hole and was just getting ready to squat when the horn of an 18 wheeler alerted me to the fact I'd picked a spot in clear view of the road. So pulled my trousers back up and found somewhere a little more discreet. The experience was strangely liberating if I'm honest.

We arrived in Cafayate at around lunchtime and planned to visit some of the local wineries for a few tasting sessions. I managed a couple but started to feel a bit ill. The girls reckoned it was man flu, but I was convinced it was more serious. I didn't drink that night, nor did I feel like eating so it must have been bad. Dengue Fever or something like that.

Anyway, had myself an early night and felt fine the next day. Which is today! So will update you all soon. Laters!
