Well 105 days till i leave the UK and head out on the road/air/sea and anything else transport runs on/in or through..........lol.

Well i managed to find the travel clinic on Wednesday and left £45 worse off and a saw arm in tow.....lmao, as im traveling so widely it was suggested and not advised as such to possibly have the rabies injection. Well its £45 per injection and three are needed and it does not prevent rabies and it only buys you time to the hospital, but then when you are the is no cure for rabies...........so it seems pretty pointless.

I was suggested to take Doxycycline which is one of many anti malarial drugs, but pretty cheap compared to some like marrolone and my girlfriend was suggested marrolone. Anti malarial's work in different doses depending exposure and as im covering a lot of land and im hitting pockets of malaria areas the doxcycline should cover my cycle of taking it for while in some places and not at all in others and of course i was advised to use deet. which seems to the mosquito prevention spray of choice😊

So Doxycycline is £29.50 a box at this clinic i went to, i have seen it cheaper and then in the small print is noted a £7.50 prescription fee and so it defeats the lower price. So i have been told i may be able to pick it up cheaper in the US and in Thailand, not sure if i can get in the states over the counter and Thailand suffers from a counterfeit trade...........so not sure if i will stump in the UK before i leave?

After i had been to the travel clinic i discovered a new travel gear shop in the city center and it has a travel clinic, so could have gone on my lunch break if id known rather than trying to find one i did go to....oh well never mind. Its called nomad and has only been open 5 weeks in Manchester and has various shops down south.

I also need to think about going to a dentist and getting a check up before i go and next weekend im off to Denmark to see my girlfriend.

Bye for now😊

Hi Pj thanks for the advice, i have been in the Kao San road boots and never noticed the Malaria stuff, i d imagine if its in boots it should be genuine, so i will get some for SEA when im in BK and as for South America i will get it in the UK or US. That way less to carry. I appreciate the advice, thanks mate Mike:)
