Photo Booth Time:)
Me and Randi in the Photo both:) Well the title sums up my thoughts to my weekend i just had in Denmark with my girlfriend Randi, Randi is such a great girl and i really liked all her friends and the Danish are genuinely friendly and the little part of Denmark i saw i really liked.
So the start of my trip did not start so well, after a flying start with a taxi that got me to Manchester airport in 23 minutes and this including some traffic and stopping so i could get cash out...........dohhh, yes i forgot to get cash before getting a taxi but hey thats me......lol.
Well my flight was due to depart at 18.15 and so i rushed through security( i only had a hand luggage bag) as i had already checked in online and selected my seat, which are great options.....thanks British Airways.
So i rushed through so i could check the gate and make sure i got on my flight on time, well i look at the screens and it has been delayed and not taking off until 19.00 and so i have some time to kill and well the departures lunge at terminal3 Manchester airport is not
Randi's Party
Randi's leaving party thrilling and after 5 minutes you have covered it all..........lol. The prices are pretty mental aswell as it was nearly £2.00 for a 330ml coke, so i bought a tube of pringles and a mars and was bored and i had eaten them within about 30 mins..........lol.
So i sent a text to Randi to let her know id be late as she would be meeting me in Billund, then the though occurred to me that the was the hour ahead etc and the last bus from Billund to Aarhus (were Randi lives) is at 22.30 and i thought the flight was about 2 hours.
Anyway after calling my Mum to have a moan about the delay and well to occupy my time as i was bored, i eventually got on the flight and then the plane is the smallest one i have been on, it sits 32 and is a propeller plane (not that im bothered as i not even slightly fussed by flying and not even turbulence bothers me), we are sat on the tarmac for ages and eventually at about 19.20 we get off the ground and eventually get into Billund at 21.55.
The
Randi with a cheeky Deer:)
Randi with a cheeky Deer:) flight was pretty uneventful and im happy to report i got my veggie meal and i just had a coke as i did not feel like an alcoholic drink.
Well i got through passport control like a breeze and then i had the biggest hug ever with Randi and then i pulled out one the presents i got her and we waited for the bus. The bus took an hour and a half and was 180 Danish kroner which is roughly £18-£19 which is fairly reasonable.
So we got to Aarhus quite late and it was very dark and so not much to see really, We got to Randi's rented apartment and she shares with Casper and another girl. Casper's dad is the landlord and it was nice apartment from initial impressions.
We then headed into Randi's room and watched poker on TV and spent time together before sleeping.
Next day we got up fairly early and went and got some bread as Randi was hosting a leaving party as she leaves Denmark for her trip next week. So the Deli and what i saw of the town Saturday morning seemed pretty nice.
Back to
Me feeding a fearsome Buck
Me feeding a fearsome Buck the apartment and i met Casper (the other housemate is hardly ever there and she only materialized on Sunday evening and didn't even say Hi) and Casper seemed like a nice enough guy😊.
So i then gave Randi a hand making some quiches and making some pastry nibbles and cutting up bread etc and just generally helping out and then at 13.00 Randi's first guest arrived a school friend and then more friends arrived and apart from Casper and two other boyfriends of Randi's friends turned up which made it a little easier as it was pretty much an all female thing...........lol
So everyone was super friendly and all of them spoke English to me, as i know about two words in Danish, although i do hope to learn more Danish in time.
Well a good time was had by all and plenty of drink was finished and various people left through the night and then it was just a small group of us and then it was pretty early in the morning
Then of course the is always that person or people who do not know when to leave, so eventually in the wee hours
Aarhus Bay
Yachts in the bay of the morning we got the place to ourselves and then had sometime together.
Sunday we went for a walk around Aarhus and had coffee from a coffee house and saw the canal, church and the theater and then over to the harbour were we spotted a massive luxury boat and a helicopter with matching paint job and then we walked up to the train station and had pictures together in a photo booth...........typical couple thing to do.......lol, Randi got her rail tickets for the airport journey next week.
We then headed back and had left overs for lunch........the food was good possibly cause i helped to make it..........lol, when then headed over to Randi's friends flat and borrowed a bike as Randi only has one bike and we took a ride up to a local park and the weather was good and we fed and stroked the deer there and walked along the bay and then an ice cream and a ride back.
Then i did some DIY in Randi's room ready for her move and we chilled out and watched tv. Then we headed out for pizza from a nice local pizzeria and we watched
Aarhus Church
Aarhus church TV and eat pizza.
Then it was time to head off at 04.15 am to get the bus to Billund and then yesterday i had to work till 18.30 so it was along day. But a great weekend, im into recycling and in Denmark you get money back for your emptys which i think is a great idea😊
