Sunset Had Yao
Have to say, we were tempted to stay another night on had yao just for the sunset... but have umpteen pictures of this one, so thought it ok to move on! hey all!!!
Well we didnt stay long on Ko Phangnan in the end... wasn't really our thing. We arrived on Sunday morning very hungover, and headed to haad yao a spot up the north east coast of the island. Twas nice there, very picturesque but a bit far from humanity for our liking. it had a lovely beach, and plenty of bars, and films showing in the evening, but no little town to wander thru, so we got up early monday, rescued Gav and Hayley at the port and headed to Haad Rin (where the full moon parties are on - but not til later in month). found it hard to find decent accomadation cheaply at haad rin nok - course found loads once we booked into haad rin resort @ 500 baht a night.
Nice digs, but not so nice grounds, a little noisy, and we had ... icky frogs for visitors in the bathroom. The guy working there came in and got him out for us with a plastic bag and a brush before going out for dinner... made sure to plug drain 'holes' in bathroom with plastic bags before going out - our little

little bit of volleyball in the background for the more energetic travellers! trick for keeping out cockroaches and now frogs it seems. Course found lots of other lovely places we could have stayed immediately after checking in!?!?!? For future reference, Neptune in Had rin nai is very close by, and much nicer, and so is the sea something? resort in the little town near the haad rin resort, for anyone who ventures there!!! Absolutely gorgeous room there that sleeps three for 500 baht... oh it hurt to see it!!!
And of course, when we got back to the room last night, the plastic bag plug had been removed out of hole????? Two frogs this time in the bathroom... obviously determined little buggers!!!!!
Decided we didnt like ko phangnan much, a lot of building going on on the island, and a lot of people there for the 'party island' reputation of phangnan, so decided to cut our trip short there, to get more time on Ko tao!!! And get back to more chilling out!!! - which we are considering ourselves experts at at this stage!!!!
So third early morning today, and away we went!!! We're settled in to Sairee beach cottages @400 baht a night for a
