Today was much quieter and chilled which made quite a nice change. The girls had more expensive plans today of seeing a show etc, so i was left to my own devices again. I decided to head into soho as it was an area I hadn't really explored. I was a little disappointed as they seemed to be doing alot of work to the roads and to the buildings so there wasn't all that much to see, but didn't really explore too much as was approached by a guy who wanted to know what underwear I was wearing, so made a speedy departure!! :oS

Out of the subway I went and sat in Bryant Park (just for Lucy B!) and had a coffee and a read of my book - very civilised!! I then tried to get into the public library, as the building itself is fab but they're supposed to have some exhibitions as well, but they wouldn't let me in with my bagel, apple and water ao will have to try again another day. From there I went in search of a cafe that I'd really wanted to visit, Serendipity as they're supposed to do amazing ice cream sundaes, and amazing decour - loads of tiffany lamps everywhere (Ithink that's what they're called - stainted glass and heavy!?!). After a bit of wait I got seated, had a quick look at the menu and the prices more importantly before I quickly scarpered!! Not horrendously expensive unless you're on a meager budget as myself!!

As I'd had a bit of a lie in this morning (I have been getting up at 6:30-7!!) by the time I got back into town and had had a quick check of my mail in the apple store I decided to go in hunt of some food and found a street vendor selling chicken and rice which I took to the park to eat - was amazing, even more so for being $4!!

NY
I know, it's been so good having Fran and our own personal guide in her friend! The hostel is ok, pretty poor apparently in comparison to most other hostels according to others. There are some really nice girls in the dorm, one french girl in particular who is going to be in Sydney around the same time we are so we're going to try and meet!
