Yes finally traveling again! spent 11 hours on a plane and arrived only 3 hours after we left... Chile is amazing! slightly colder then oz even though it was at least 18 today!!

were in Santiago at the moment its a beautiful city surrounded by the mountains! we spent the first few days sight seeing and meeting random locals who took us out or invited us to stay in there house. we also met a crazy Australian ex dope addict ex soldier now a hippy who has loads of money and just brought a car.. he offered us a lift to Bolivia but i don't think theres enough room so we might miss that one!

yesterday we went into town to goto the museum which was pretty rubbish but they day got better as we got cuaght up in a riot which was fun!!

The main trade union federation called the protest, saying the government's free market economic policies have meant poorer conditions for workers

we tagged along with the locals, it was made up of youths and old people like old women n men to!! the police had Armour shield and huge batons... they all also carry guns. they also have huge trucks with water cannons on that can fire CS gas out the side as we found out! there were smaller jeeps too all so heavily armored which drove fast alongside the road spraying CS gas... which isn't nice it makes your eyes sting and stream and your lungs hurt a lot.

after a few hours we left, we also missed the nights violence of road blocks and petrol bombs..

other then that its been pretty quiet, me and pat are practicing our Spanish its not tooo bad but theres still a lot of pointing...

were heading to the coast next then up to the desert and Bolivia!!!

i cant wait apparently it gets cheaper too !!

Wicked photos man! Sounds like you guys are havin a RIOT! Lol! Yeah Bolivia is Rad - go drive accross UYUNI (Large-ass salt desert! It's got mad patterns on the floor!). Then Peru - man u gotta check out Cusco, and if you wanna go sand-boarding (like snowboarding but in the desert on fat-off dunes!) then try out Ica I think, also Nazca Lines are pretty mad - view them from the small aircraft to take you up! All that is way off from you now (in Peru) but man u guys are on a wicked adventure - YEAH!
