I have officially made it through my first week here in Buenos Aires. It has definitely been a loooong week at that. I am in a room in an apartment in the neighborhood of Belgrano. My move went okay except that it was raining all day! Not a good day to move. There are two other people who rent here...Dorian from Mexico and Tori from Germany. I like them both and Dorian has actually been very helpful with my cooking adventures (I will create a side commentary on my food experience here in another posting). The guy that rents out the place also lives here and is name is Diego who is Argentine. The place works for now but I will probably look for another place at the end of the month.

I did get to go out this past weekend with 3 girls from Norway who are in my program and two guys they knew from both Germany and France. The Norwegian girls are very nice but don't speak more than 2 words of Spanish. They are also super addicted to facebook and post messages about every two hours. Going out here is a different experience though because people don't start arriving to bars/clubs until about 2 am. They usually stay until about 6 or 7 am......which is different considering US bars close anywhere from 2 to 4 am.

I also started my two weeks of Spanish classes today and taught my first English class on Monday to an oil company engineer. Enjoy the pictures and I will post more soon!

Building....Building....
Building....

I originally thought this was the art museum but it turns out it's just an abandoned building.

Seriously?
Dorian and Diego? Are you kidding me? Am I the only one who finds that funny? Nice to see you made it in 1 piece. Leave it to you to hook up with 3 girls from Norway, jeez. It's like giving an iPod to a deaf guy...he knows what it does, but it's of no use to him. Keep the journal going.

Abandoned Building
Hey, guy!!! The big building in you picture is not an "abandoned building". Is the Buenos Aires University Law School.
