try the BA "trilogy" Pizza (home delivered) - Don't forget faina!
Empanadas (home delivered - take away)
Pasta (we have "casas de pasta" where you buy your fresh pasta, including sauces and parmesan cheese, if you like, and boil it at home)
I ate at McDonald's in all my international trips (cheaper, time savings, not language troubles). I have to say those three atributes are not available in the Argentinian fast-foods. Having we prime meat, I found BigMacs tastier all around the World but Argentina.
Buenos Aires is not a good place to lunch in a rush or being a vegetarian.
Like your blog I stumbled upon your blog. I was just in Argentina and am eager to live there for a while. I've done the ex-pat thing in France for 2 year and Spain for 1. I'm eager to do it again, but I can't get myself to leave my job in LA just yet, so I'll be keeping up with your adventures and other BA Blogs like it for the time being. Have fun. BA is a great city and the Argentines are very hospitable.
Seriously? Dorian and Diego? Are you kidding me? Am I the only one who finds that funny? Nice to see you made it in 1 piece. Leave it to you to hook up with 3 girls from Norway, jeez. It's like giving an iPod to a deaf guy...he knows what it does, but it's of no use to him. Keep the journal going.
Argentina Virgin Nick,
What week do you think your goal to lose your viginity to an Argentinian will fall in? Week 2? or did it happen on the plane already? =) Keep me apprised. I am definitely looking forward to seeing some of your more sordid adventures in your blog, in fact I will be living vicariously through it. Taiwanese is different than South American and you know how much I enjoy experiencing new cultures =)
Luv ya, miss ya,
-jefe (purposeful)
This is my first time creating a blog....so we'll see how it goes and how often I updated it. I'm currently 24 years old, grew up in the dirty D! (not really...I grew up in the Detroit suburbs), graduated from the University of Michigan Business School (undergrad) and have been working for Target Corportation Headquarters for the past two years in Minneapolis. I decided recently to pursue a desire to live abroad for an extended period of time and am heading to Buenos Aires, Argentina on Monday August 20th. This blog should serve to chronicle my adventures.... full info
