Day 7

A beautiful morning out in the country here in the Willamette Valley. After an early start (for some of us) we headed off to see the Air museum and more specifically the “Spruce Goose” boy that is one big airplane. There was also a really neat feature on Man on the moon in the Imax theatre. We headed off from David and Christies, mid afternoon, destination Portland. It was an easy run till we neared the city and for the first time on this trip we got into heavy and slow traffic. Ten miles took us almost an hour. The directions to the hotel were incorrect so more fun and games finding our lodgings. We met Fireman Cliff at the hotel which was on Hayden island and then all went out to Scapoose for a lovely meal on the river. All the rest headed back to Hayden Island for the night. N o input from the troops here as I am writing this at Cliffs and we
