Me and Randi
Me and My Girlfriend Randi What follows is the current plan and outlines were i am going and in what order.
I start 29.12.07 and fly from London Heathrow to John F Kennedy Airport New York and then make my way to the Big Apple Hostel, recommended to me by a native New Yorker and the only accommodation i have pre-booked and all other accommodation will be booked via the internet a few days before or i will turn and see what i can find.
From New York i overland to Washington DC and possibly one or two nights in Philly on the way.
Then down to New Orleans, across to las Vegas and Grand Canyon and then on to Phoenix.
Next on to San Fran and down to LA for a few days and my flight out of the US, approximately a month in the US.
I Fly from LAX down to San Jose Costa Rica and straight on a bus to Panama ( I will make use of the Ticca bus and the odd chicken bus), few days in Panama and back up to Costa Rica and then Ticca Bus upto Nicaragua and up through El Salvador over to Honduras upto Guatemala and Then Belize and upto the Yuctan Peninsular for the ruins and upwards to Mexico city and my flight out of Central America.a month here so a very quick whistle stop tour😊
Fly out of Mexico City to South America, first stop Santiago in Chile, no time to stop as i will fly out of Chile to Australia, so one day in Santiago and then a flight with two stops..........lol nice short flight then😊 and down to Ushsia the southern most tip of South America and part of the Patagonia region, some hiking around Torres del paine and other areas of interest and seeing the glaciers, then up into Argentina stops at el caffete and rio grande, Mendoza and Buenos Aires(soory for any spelling errors) this journey will be via bus, side trip to Uruguay and fly out of Buenos Aires to Sao Palo and then a trip up to Rio for the beaches and football and Jesus Christ the redeemer statue and then down To Izagu Falls to see both Brazilian and Argentina sides and then fly out of Sao palo to Lima In Peru and Trip to north of Peru for a one or two day trek in the Amazon and then down to the Nazcar lines and some sand boarding and then over to Cusco to hike up to Machu Pichu and then over to lake Titicaca and maybe a quick stay on the floating islands and over to boliva and the salt flats and death railway and some other bits an bobs and down into Paraguy and back into Chile for a few days and then flight out of Santiago to Sydney..........an 18 hour flight.....ouch...........cross date line lose a day.......ouch ouch.
Working holiday Visa for Oz so land In Oz and head over to the Qantas office to re-arrange my other flights, work in Oz for maybe a month or so to top up funds and then 3-4 weeks sight seeing, also very important meet my girlfriend in Oz and see if she wants to jump on my tour over to China.
Have internal flights in Oz so no boring long bus journeys across desert. Finish in Oz fly to Bejing China, great wall, Train to Lasha Tibet, Xian, Chengdu and Shanghai and terracotta army etc and overland down to Hong Kong and flight out of China, month and a half to two Months.
Fly from Hong Kong to Bangkok and then Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam and maybe Malaysia and other parts of South east Asia, about 3 - 4 months here and then fly from Bangkok to Mubai in India and then upto the north and Taj Mal and Into Nepal and by this stage my ticket has run out and its all overlanding. From Nepal and possible side trip to pakistan and down to south India and a flight to the Adamman Islands to spend christmas. Then back to India and overland through Bangladesh through Mynamar and back to Bangkok and depending on me and my girlfriend Randi the are sereval possible options......i may hang out in Southeast Asia for a while and fly to Canada or i may go to Denmark or possibly back to Oz to finish the remainder of my working visa and some side trips to Nz, japan and Korea....possible Fiji and then onto Canada................however i will just have to see how it all works out.
So there is the rough itinerary and as most things in life its subject to change😊
