On our way to Florence, we decided to make a quick stop over in Pisa to see the famous Leaning Tower! We were only there for a few hours, but it was worth it to see the famous landmark!
Since this entry was so short, I'll add a little blurb about some things we've found interesting about the TV while here (yes, even while vacationing in Europe we've been unable to avoid the TV):
- Every city we've been in so far has had BBC News and/or CNN International so we've been able to keep up with the happenings in the US with the hurricane! I hope everyone's families and friends are doing okay! Please send me an email at kkdonald@cfl.rr.com and let me know!
- MSNBC shows Jay Leno and Conan O'Brien with European guests! Since most of our TV has been the news (the only thing in English), and the news hardly EVER has happy news to report, it was great to have a little bit of comic relief to watch!
- There is a "Global Daily Show" with Jon Stewart broadcast here. I can't remember what station it was on, but I thought that was great since I love Jon Stewart!
