I best write a message before I forget all the things I have done and seen so far. The flight with Air Canada was very nice. I tried to sleep a fair bit. When I got to London, Heathrow, I had little time to look around. What a big airport. It was a very long walk from Terminal 3 to 2. Then through security. You are only allowed one bag and they watch very closely, I am glad. I thought it would take forever and that I would miss my plane, but still had half hour to rest a bit but no looking at shops. Then with Lufthansa, to Munich, Germany. There the plane was late so I had to run almost from one terminal to the other and believe it from one end to the other. Again through security. I was last on the plane and almost missed it but still had 10 minutes prior to departure. If I would not have run, being in good shape, I would certainly have missed it. But then I arrived in Rome. A nice gentleman, do not know his name but was on the seat in the plane next to me was
The Colosseum
Beautiful day and by the light of night going to the same train station at Termini as I and he offered to have me follow him. I was on the train ride from airport to Rome for half hour and my hotel is very close to the Termini station. Very good location. Then I spend all next day out took metro to vatican and then walked literally all over the city to almost all the sites and walked back to my hotel and would say quite a few km for sure. It was funny to see all the people holding the same "Hotel" tourist map looking for the places just like I and all confused then all of a sudden you chance ont he place and are amazed at the people and the sites. Then on the next day I did the same. I took the metro to Trevi Fountain after asking A US family for help. They too were looking. How beautiful. The spanish steps were so nice. You could not even sit for a bit without the "whistle guy" letting you know that it was not cool to sit on the steps. I was actually looking for one site yesterday and could not even find it,
Trevi Fountain
A very busy and popular spot for tourists to just sit and look at the fountain. but I am sure walked in circles and would come across another site again so I have given up on that one. I am still puzzelled as to where it is. Then having trouble finding the metro, 2 Australian young girls and I walked, in circles, I am sure, and back and forth, finally finding it. Today, Wed, I stood literally in line in the heat for 2 hours , I am sure 4 to 6 blocks long, 12 feet wide of people waiting to see the Sisten museum at the vatican. When I got there, another 2 hours to view the beauitful place with all the history and art. overwhelming. Anyways, my hotel, Mediteraneo, is nice with a nice roof garden to sip a glass of wine and american coffee at night overlooking the city. I think that is enough for now. When I get to Arlenes house I will add some beautiful pictures as

Hey Mom, Sounds like you are still getting your exercise!! Wow...you are seeing so many things. Making sure to pack everything in! Funny how difficult it is to find some things there. I wish I was there with you to drink some great italian wine and have the pizza. Aaron and I will get there eventually! Can't wait to see the pics....I'm sure Arlene is so excited to see you this weekend. I can't believe you're going to be in Greece in a few days....so lucky!
