I want to preface this by saying that.... 3 vehicles I have used during this trip have broken down. Two buses and now Tobias's car.

But to where I left off! Tobias and I went to Germany and met up with Nils in Dusseldorf and went to a traditional german...diner...thing... But Nils and his gf got called into work so Tobias and I went ahead to the next stop! Dortmund!! Dortmund is where we met up with Michael, a friend I made at Australian Uni. We had a lot of fun there. I had kebabs for the first time! Shawarma was in it. And also an endless source of frustration with Tobias, because apparently kebap or kebab means lamb... but it had chicken in it! but whatever, it was good. Then Michael, Tobias and I went to a bar and played foozball against these two German guys we ended up talking to the rest of the night. I got their emails, you never know when you'll need the email of a german!! I've gotten lots of emails from the new friends I've made. People have laughed at me, but I've saved so much money being able to stay with friends. AND then I have a guide for the city I'm in and tehy can show me the cheap food places, and the fun places etc. AND since I'm traveling alone, a friend to talk to! So, I'm a huge advocate of couch surfing! Did you know that there is a website called couchsurfing.com or something. And you just go and crash on people's couches that you don't know. Weird!

Anywho, left Germany and stopped at a Border shop which is where you can get CRAZY cheap crap before going over the border. I liken it to Sam's club. We got on the ferry which was ridiculously expensive.... it was like...€50!! That's like...$60. It was really pretty though out on the deck and coming up on Denmark and seeing the crazy huge windmill farm.

When we drove off the ferry, I got to drive since Tobias can't. In Denmark, when you buy a car, you have to pay 180% tax on it...which is like buying 3 cars...since he keeps his car in Luxembourg, he doesn't have to pay the tax, but alternatively, doesn't get to drive it. So he bought a crappy car, which is the one that broke down. Driving was fun 😊 It was a manual!! And a diesel!! I'm pretty good at driving it, it's a lot easier than a gas manual... I think i could handle it in traffic, which is why I haven't gotten a manual in the past. but diesel is cheaper, better for the environment and easier to drive! Anyway, so today we went to this really cool Medieval center. They reconstructed what they thought 14th century Danish village would be like only using authentic tools and supplies. Everything, down to nails and stuff is made there. And people live there! I think only during the summer. There was an archery demonstration and Tobias and I did it. Mine nicked the target once, and Tobias hit it, but it fell out. Weird.

Tonight we were supposed to go back to Copenhagen but Tobias's car crapped out and now we're back at tobias's girlfriend's hosue. For those paying attention know why that kind of bothers me. Tomorrow tobias is calling the Danish tax office to see if it is ok for me to drive his car, because he's parents don't think so. it was ok for the 15 min drive from the ferry, but not all around Denmark. We switched positions pretty close to her house because it was really country and confusing, and also becaues I don't think he could stand me driving any longer. As soon as I stopped he was out of the car and on my side before I could even take off my seatbelt. but he said that if he had to let me, then he would, because I didn't do a bad job and we need a car!!

Watching the Weather Man now, man I'm kinda tired. I think I might eat. and.... does anyone read this? Besides K and Emily? (You guys rock so much socks, btw 😊 )
