This was our first family holiday together Thomas was still a tiny little baba but had loads of confidence. We stayed in a 2 bedroom comfort villa at SHerwood Forest Nottingham.
The villa was a good size and had an excellent log fire and was right in the middle of the forest, all around us was surrounded by nature, we sat for hours watching the wildlife pass our patio area, we seen squirells, pigeonns, grouse, pheasant and more squirellls in fact hundreds of them.
We spent most of our time in the pool area, and Thomas enjoyed his first swimming expeirrence at the Baby Dolphins event, ive never seen so many floating babies in my life.
We eat like kings while we were away and Center Parcs eatieries are spot on, not one bad meal the whole holiday.
The seme afternoon we decided to check out the bowling alley. We were impressed, it was made out like a forest. Thomas had a little try too, helpin push the balls down the ramp. Next we tried out the soft play area, Thomas loved it and older kids were showing him around. We then tried out the diner. We both had a delicious chicken and bacon burger. We headed back to our villa to enjoy a glass of wine or two!
The following day we were up early to enjoy a full english brekkie, before heading to the pool, it was a lovely warm day, so we headed to the outdoor part.
It was then time for Thomas to attend the daycare nursery as we were heading off into the forest to try out quadbiking. We had a brief induction before starting up. It looked so easy, however it wasn't as easy as I thought and at the first bend, I was heading for a bush. However I soon got over the misshap and enjoyed the rest of the ride. The instructor kept looking back to make sure I hadn't crashed again. Brilliant experience, but a little on the sacry side too.
We collected Thomas from the nursery, which he had thouroughly enjoyed.
That same night was Sherwood Feast. We all had a great time, chanting along with the cast, whilst enjoying roast chicken, corn on the cob, spare ribs amogst other delights.
The folowing day, Mase wanted to sample some falconry. He alongside ten kids, got the chance to fly owls and eagles. Excellent. We then tried out the natre trail, looking at badgers on secret cameras. Thomas enjoyed doing some art and craft.
It was then time to eat out in the pancake house, yum. Before hiring a boat.
Leanne then went to pick her sister Michelle up from Nottingham train station, we sneaked her into Center Parcs. Mase then set up the barbeque, another great feast. Mich was treated ilke a queen, we all had a few drinks before heading to bed. Up early the next morning to take Mich to train station, very sad aas we had really enjoyed her company, thanks Mich. Hopefully you will ttreat us the same when we come to Dublin.
The final day was upon us so we headed into the woods to eat our picnic ad swimming for the last time, until next time anyway.
Excellent all round holiday.
