Chilling in Buzios (outer Mongolia)

We left Rio yesterday (7th) in search of some Brazillian culture, beach, sun and in an attempt to try and save some cash - we took a 3 hour bus ride north to the coastal area of Buzios (look it up on Google its paradise)!! Anyway we arrived about 6 last night and got a taxi to our hostel.....we got there and we were the only guests in the whole place!! It felt like we were checking into ´the hostel´just like in the film..when everyone gets killed!! We had to knock a big steel knocker on a piece of wood to get in and then the big creaky door got answered...we crapped ourselves! There was no civilisation and definately no other travellers! anyway it turns out Buzios is really quiet as it is winter here (still 25 degrees plus though) ! we left our stuff (with no safe and key in hand of the hostel owner) and went for a walk down what seemed like the longest road with no bars, no nothing....where are we?????

Anyway we finally found some civilisation at the golden arches and it turns out that Buzios is actually the St Tropez of brazil...really blimmin expensive!! its a really buzzing little seaside place loads of nice shops and restaurants and the wealthy of brazil come here for the hols...its not Skegness! we had some dinner and a bottle of red and that was us done in for the night!

Woke up this morning and headed for the beach which is like paradise and just what you think a little brazillian bay should look like - its called Tartaryga!! Spent the whole day there sun bathing and chilling - really realxing!! Finally the tan is on its way before we head to chilly Argentina! Were going snorkling around a few of the bays tommorrow on a boat which should be nice! Some other guests arrived at the hostel before we left this evening so at least there will be a witness if something happens - only joking mums!!!!!!!

Hello Anna it sounds as if you are having a wonderful time -make the most of it as you wont be going back there in the forseeable future- well I doubt it! Whilst this is an expensive area it sounds absolutely wonderful Have you had any nice things to eat -I know you will be keen to keep your calories up in true Anna style!
