Here is a pre-departure snap shot of a few future "pura vidaers" HOLA! Estamos aqui en Costa Rica y es tan bonita!!! We made it safe and sound to Costa Rica and it is AMAZING! We arrived in San Jose around 9pm yesterday and took a bus to meet our Costa Rican (tican) family. Both flights went well and surprisingly everything went smoothly getting here. We got to our new casa around 11 and we have an UNBELIEVABLE host family and house. We lucked out big time!!! Our tica mom is very friendly, lots of energy, loves to talk and has cooked us 3 delicious meals so far. We wont be hungry here we can tell that. In the family there is also a tico dad who is an architect and 3 kids (15, 7, y 3 years old.... so cute and fun!!) This morning after breakfast, shopping with our tica mom and picking up Daniel (7) from school, we played a futbol (soccer). We are staying at the house along with our friend Val and we each have our own room in our own area of the house. It is like a loft... super nice, great view of palm trees and the mountains in the distance. We were awoken this morning by our neighbor, which happens to be a loud cackling gallo (rooster)... guess this is a good alarm clock! This afternoon was our orientation to the University of Costa Rica ... this also is so nice and we feel pretty oriented already. The weather is cooler and rained a little today. More later, just wanted to let everyone know we are here, its amazing and we are LOVING IT!!!!
