Auf Wiedersehen Deutschland

Europe » Germany » Berlin By sfkaren
June 6th 2007 Well, we are in Berlin and we have reached the end of our trip. While we will miss the amazing architecture, rich history, and wealth of frothy beverages, (oh, and the David Hasselhoff shrine here at the hostel) we are really looking forward to being back in the good ol' US of A with all the funny little comforts of home that we took for granted.

It has been a long journey through two amazing countries (long enough that Grant would like to report he has grown a full beard--he's very proud). We can now say we've stayed on a farm in Iceland, driven the autobahn (and survived), gotten an exclusive tour of the Porsche Factory (awesome--but no pics allowed inside), explored a medieval walled city, and seen what's left of the Berlin Wall.

It has been quite an adventure with too many stories to write, so we look forward to sharing more with you all when we return to SF this weekend (Friday if all goes as planned on Icelandair). Love to you all!

"You do this, you do that." -Borat. (lol) This was the tower of Hirschhorn Castle where we stayed (part of it is now a hotel).

While this was not a car on the actual tour (infact it was just in the parking lot) it has yet to hit the States. Nice!
