There were simply unbelievable trees here, well worth a visit
Today our guide took us around some of the temples around Angkor Wat, but unfortunately I can't remember many of their names. They all have a very interesting history and it's well worth reading up on if you want to know more than I can remember. Ta Prohm was my personal favorite, it was a ruined temple where nature had started to claim it back and trees were intertwined with the temple walls. Because this place looks so unique they also filmed some scenes from Tomb Raider here.

Sadly, I can't remember more about the temples. I hope the the pictures speak for themselves anyway. It's also worth mentioning how many child sellers there are around this area - since 34% of the population live on less than $1 a day, children that are sent to earn money by selling wares, such as postcard packs for $1 each, create quite a lucrative source of income for the children's parents. The money sometimes is used by the children to earn enough to pay for their own schooling, but usually it's used to boost the family income so that they can afford to feed themselves.

Some had even grown into human like shapes...

The temple was carved out of the hill stone, and now it appears as if the hill naturally has a flat top
