nearly half way, we think!?

hi guys,
the morning after the last blog we walked most of the day in a full on electrical storm!ryan was like a pig in shit where as pippi was border line tears..but the rain bought us closer to other pilgrims about midday the rain slowed down and we pushed on through a city called logrono to navraette much to pippis disgust and that night we slept in the hostel garage,not ideal but thats the pilgrimage for ya...next day we had a short day to najera just 15km with the hope of catching up with the hendls spanish family aljandro and gema (not actually related) and by sheer luck spotted aljandro in the street in najera.
He immediatly proceeded to take us on a pub crawl,packs and all, to try the la rioja wines, funniest part was that we didnt know what he was saying most of the time as the only english words he knew were fandangle and potatoes!they put us up in their flat for the nights we were there and fed us up on snails,olives,chiritzo sausage and tortillio.
the next day we had a day off and aljandro took us north to bilbao on a road trip,would swear we would never drive with him again,hes crazy!on the way back from bilbao we stopped in a town called haro for yet another pub crawl,and mastered the pouron.ryan and aljandro got boozy both nights..
it was on to sainto domingo the next day (21km) potato fields as far as you could see!then on to belorado the following day (24km) fantastic hostel the best we have stayed in so far.
today we walked 27km and are posting this blog from a pub in a town called ages,is was a great sunny day and both were feeling good!
just 24k tomorow to burgos a city we hopfully can go have a boogy in!
