Alright, so I don´t particularly enjoy being alone at my apartment; it gets lonely! So you all can imagine that spending the whole day alone in Barcelona hasn´t exactly been my "ideal" vacation. However, I have met a few interesting people and have done a ton of walking! I´m kind of tired now, and it´s only 8:45, and I´m sure nobody else in this place is going to bed soon, but I kinda want to!! Jen hurry, I´m slowly becoming a pathetic loser who goes to bed at 9pm! (this is probably a fortaste of my future life as a worn down teacher)!
Anyways, so I went to this travelers bar for a glass of sangria and just to see if anyone would talk to me, and sure enough someone did, granted he was giving a sales pitch, but he continued to chat with me after the fact, so yeah. He works for this touring company in Barcelona and I´ve decided my next vaction, will be to Morroco to learn to surf! Sounds cool, huh!? (Dad, what do you think 😉?) Yeah they offer all these really cool events/excursions, etc.
Then the other guy I met was when I went to get my dinner. He didn´t speak much Spanish or English, he was Indian and he was funny. I just wanted my food, but he obviously wanted to talk! He asked me where I was from (he thought italy, haha) and then what my name was, he showed me how they write my name where he´s from etc. Anyways, very funny especially considering the numerous language barriers. Well this hostal is a happening place now, my 20 free min. is up, gotta go!

Hi, Jen! I noticed that your flights made it on time. Hopefully your connection with Laura went flawlessly! Anyway, the mechanic wants me to bring a spare key to him to try. The key has a small electric part in it, and he thinks that may be it. I am headed to your apt to see. Love ya, Dad
