Where I started

startted from Philadelphia, Pa. on an Amtrak train onto Chicago, Il. Changed trains to San Antonio, Tx. and motorcoach to McAllen, Tx. A short bus ride to the border, then a bus ride to Corozal to belice City, Belice. It's a small town, but the rats are "huge" stayed for four days then onward to San Jose, Costa Rica. From San Jose a bus ride to Sixoala then a short walk to the border to Panama(glad to get out of Costa Ricaville) A bus ride to Bocas del Toro, Panama and onward to Panama City for a weeks stay. From there a short plane ride to Puerto Olbadia. A boat ride to Capurgana, Colombia then the next day to Turbo and a 8hr bus ride to medellin, Colombia

Where I started
Antonio Martinez-VasquezIt's Monday and I've in beautiful Medellin, Colombia for about five days. It's changed alot since I was last here in 2000. But the changes are extremely positive. There's a good likelihood of leaving tonight or tomorrow for Panama City. I started an impromptu import/export business: in order to finance my travels. During the past two years, I've been to Trinidad, Peru(it stinks) Equador(three steps up from Peru) Nicaragua(quite different from 1978-80) all throughout Central America. But the least country I liked was Costa Rica, everything is for sale from the women to the politicians. The capitol San Jose really smells, and the infrastructure of the city is an urban planners nightmare! It's amazing how dumb most american tourists are; they really think Costa Rica is neat! Everybody walking around in a "Bob Marley" t-shirt & far too many gays!

I've always been adventurous person: spent some time in the US Marines/70-78. Some training work in Nicaragua w/ Sandanistas, some time in Le Legion Etrangere/French Foreign Legion/81-86 & Executive Security in Venezuela & Colombia. Just traveling the world to see where it leads me(Allah Akbar) will continue thru South America & hoping to get back to Rabat, Morrocco. Currently(22Apr07) in Medellin, Colombia. Though I've lived in Costa Rica for the last two years with my wife Yuni, who's from Valledupar, Colombia. i was in medellin a week ago and..... what a beatiful city...actually, i enjoyed it more than buenos aires...
