They say sequals never live upto the original and one reason i don't like to visit the same place twice but i was drawn back to bogota and didn't regret it either. I spent the first day souvenier shopping as i hadn't bought one gift for my family yet... a combination of the fact that i am lazy, selfish and never think of others, a crap shopper, and the fact i am travelling and couldn't be arsed carting big ceramic pots and wooden carved grand father clocks all over south america.

so i thought i should finally actually buy something, there was a store that sold some para military stuff that looked really cool but it wasn't open the day i wanted to buy my stuff so i missed out. in the end i bought a aguadiente flask and a colombian t-shirt for myself... i really don't know where i am going to find these souveniers for everyone?

the next day i met up with sonia and we went out for lunch and some tomale... checked out the zona rosa and sonias favorite irish pub. at some point we had dinner at a fantastic pizza resturant near park noventa

can't spell tomale but it tastes ok
, somewhere in there we also had italian pasta in the zona rosa and went out for postres in crepes and waffles. To be honest i was all a big blur of two days eating and drinking. sonia made jokes telling me she was glad i was leaving because we would both probably put on 10 pounds each if i stayed.

she joined me on the way to the airport and we parted ways...

then whilst in the airport i missed a call from sonia so i went to look for a locutorio to ring back but the number stored on my phone was wrong or something and i didn't have much money or time to check it on the internet because the departure tax was like 70.000 pesos.

then i went through all the security checks and was waiting in the waiting room when the flight attendant said there was a problem and i had someones document and i had to go back to immigration... but then there was all this trouble trying to go back through all the security checks and i only had 30mins before the plane left then when they finally wouldn't let

me through the last area and wouldn't call the immigration room to discuss what the problem was i had to go back through all the security checks again... i was the last one on the plane and i think i even held it up a bit but who cares!

then in my stop over in quito i still couldn't get in contact with sonia and i wasn't until i finally got to Buenos Aires 12 hours later that i managed to send a message.

after all that it turns out sonia lost her glasses in the taxi and she wanted to know if i picked them up. so aside for that little bit of craziness everything in colombia went really well. i will definately have to go back and head up to the north one day.
