The gallery opening was really good. From left to right Francesca Liba, Sasha the famous artist, Roland, me, Lee another artist, and Paris.
A beautiful day!! The weather was beautiful as we headed for the Ming Tombs. I insisted that we rent a driver because as much fun as riding buses is like to get things accomplished and taking the bus is so slow. So we went to the Ming tombs, which were well, they were there. Not greatest but I liked being out of the city and walking around. We then went to our friend’s art gallery opening, which was well interesting. Typical Chinese, extremely disorganized. When the artists were speaking they were talking and answering their cell phones. I was trying not to laugh because Liba was getting so angry she was shhhhhhh the Chinese adults like her kindergarten students. I thought she was going to start yelling at them to be quiet. Well it was then off to starbucks and Najia, which has become our Friday and Saturday night hangout. So it was a good weekend.

Najia?
What is Najia like and where is it? You're so good at describing things, maybe you could tell your viewing audience about this place.

At Home
Trisha, I can tell you are very much at home with all your new friends, even in such a different culture. I am so happy you had the courage to do such an adventursome thing.Dan says you won"t be the same---more grown up. Will I know you? Yes, that will never change. Love you, Grandmama

AHHH! well Grant can be single all his life if he wants, but if wants to find a real woman he better find one with a brain big enough to be consistently right and he better learn how to amuse her and let her be right....duh! you need to come home and train these loony boys we call our brothers. p.s. I LOOOOOOOOve your outfit in the top (group) photo. so sophisticated and very prefessional. the boots top it all off. so i finished Anna Kerenina on sunday (two days early) which is an amazing 800 pg book that i was unable to enjoy b/c it was for class and i was therefore rushed to meet page deadlines. I am now cramming Uncle Tom's Cabin which i think could be good as well but 500pgs in 3 days when i have 3 paintings, a french film review, and 4 ch in astr to do is a bit rough.... all that to say i was really really wishing you were here to give me your version of cliff notes to this sucker so i could write an outline and pass my presentation on Thurs. -- so much so that i was reading near Humanities and looked up and did a pearl clutch as i gasped -- seriously i almost calle dout your name...it was like a "trisha optical illusion". pretty scary. i seriously thought she was you. but alas, she was not. i realized it in time to avoid anythig embarrassing. 4 weeks til i'm a senior. 3 months til you come home. time flys doesnt it!

Sorry Trisha but you have us spoiled! And what about that elephant? I don't remember seeing that! I wonder now if I actually saw the Ming Tombs. You always make me want to go back to China and get a Starbucks. Love, Cheryl

Gone liberal?
I can't help it. You look gorgeous (as always). I am a bit concerned- from the picture and commentary you look and sound so uptown NEW YORK. Will we ever get you back to the country? Alas, I fear not. Looking forward to your return home (however brief it might be.)
