NZ's answer to 'the Trent Building' In Auckland

Tom Bennett Arriving in Auckland, we bussied ourselves with 'sorting out our lives', moving into accomodation and arranging modules etc... The international team at the Uni made quite an effort to lay on a comprhensive set of 'informative meetings' and events. It was a proper case of information overload by the end of the week. One really great event was the Maori cultural show... pandering to tourism of course, but very engaging an interesting none-the-less.
We made an effort to do some of the 'must do' things, such as watching a kiwi rugby game (at which they beat the Aussie team) and generally exploring Auckland a little. I signned up to a whole load of societies to get involved in interesting happennings.
The accomodation is excellent, really puts ol Broadgate to shame a little (please dont take offense if you happen to work for UPP ltd). It's a really nice place, I live with 3 others in an apartment within a massive student block. Maelle is staying here too in another apartment, and fred across the way in O'Rorke hall. The location is probably one of the best aspects, being 3 mins walk from
your lectures has its advantages!
