Hi All!!

It's been a couple days... Derek and I fly out for Barcelona tomorrow! We have finally gotten some things figured out. We've picked out a farm in Tarragona, 100 km away from Barcelona. We are just waiting now to hear back from them. So!

Our last three days have been fun! Saturday we went with Anthony and India to Portabello Market. I don't think I've seen a market so huge. Tons of people. All sorts of interesting booths. Army stuff. Rubbish (garage sale sort of thing). Vinyl, LPs, CDs and Audio Tapes. Lots of clothes... All sorts of clothes that I wanted. But then you have to think... £5 = $12.5 CA. So cheap.. Isn't exactly all that cheap.

Saturday night we went to this pub just down the street, where there was a band that consisted of an electric piano/organ and whomever wanted to sing. Most of the patrons were elderly people, many older couples were dancing and everyone was going up to sing. This was no karaoke lounge, everyone could sing very well. Songs such as "We'll Meet Again" and various Frank Sinatra songs. It was wonderful and adorable. Mom. Dad. It made me think of you. You would have liked it. I would have sung "Unforgettable" for you and you both would have danced.

Sunday morning Derek and I went to a small Unitarian church in Newington Green. It was a small congregation but they were very inviting and lovely to chat with! We even met a couple that was from Southern Ontario!! Afterwards we went back to Portabello Market and wandered around. The market was about 1/8 of the size it was the previous day, but that didn't stop me from buying 4 pieces of clothing for £4. And a wallet. We wandered down the street and ate at a Lebanese restaurant. It was AWESOME!! I've never had Lebanese before. It's super good, I highly recommend it. We went out to a couple bars. The first one's music wasn't very good. But the second one had a great blues band. Everyone was dancing and singing (and smoking! England doesn't go smoke free until July 1st).

Today we went to the British Museum, it was really nice. We were really tired though so we only stayed awhile. We saw a bunch of Greek and Roman exhibits and part of the Parthenon. It was beautiful. I'll post some pictures!! Afterwards we went to a Thai restaurant down the street and had Tom Kha Gia. A soup with coconut milk, chillies, mushrooms and chicken. It was very yummy.

I have a horrible sore throat. I really hope it's from all of the cigarette smoke in the pubs and restaurants and not an actual yucky sickness. Cause that, would really suck. Anyways!!

Love you guys lots!!
