Astronaut Training!Astronaut Training!Astronaut Training!

We went to the science museum...this is one of those chairs that astronauts use to train for no gravity, very fun!
Hi all! This is the end of my third week here, and it has been a good one. Not much happened during the week, classes and such. Then Thursday we went out dancing for a bit. Friday was nothing special, went to school and booked a trip to Paris with some of my friends for the weekend of February 22-25. It should be really fun! Then wandered around and had churros and chocolate. They were amazing! Anyone coming to Spain has to try them. It is like fried dough (very fresh) and then you dip them in hot chocolate, but this hot chocolate is not watered down, it is like pure chocolate melted in a cup! Then at night, we decided not to go out. Kate and I watched a Grey's Anatomy episode before bed. Then Saturday, it was rainy, so we didn't do anything in the morning, but in the afternoon, we went to the Science Museum (part of the City of Arts and Sciences). It was really cool, tons of hands on stuff to play around with. We felt like kids again.

Then there was the big soccer game! It was crazy, when we walked towards the stadium

We walked into this room and then music turned on and the skeletons were dancing...very funny!
there were huge mobs of people, we felt special that we were actually part of this migration going to the game. Well, when we got there, Kate realized that she lost her ticket! Then she had to run back and see if she dropped it on the street. So in the end, she couldn't find it and it was a sold out game so she couldn't come...it was really sad! We realized later that when she pulled out her phone when Eva called, she must have dropped her ticket, and these Americans who shortly after started talking to us about the game had stolen it. Wow, Americans can be so rude sometimes! Another funny American story was when we got there, some of the people in the group wanted to drink during the game, since that is a tradition in the US. Well, they went and got beers, only to find out they spent 2 Euros on non-alcoholic beer--funny! In Spain you cannot bring alcohol or buy it at the games. The people are crazy enough! There were riot police outside that were controlling the crazy fans from the Madrid team. The game was really exciting, and the Valencian team won in the end! We hope to go to another game so Kate can experience it too.

Then that was pretty much my week, nothing too exciting. Tonight I will be going to a bar to watch the superbowl! It should be interesting to see it in Spain, we are hoping it is not dubbed so we can understand! Well, I should get ready for that, since it starts late here. Go Indianapolis!
