Eddy suggested we go North of Sydney to the Hawkesbury river for Luncch.
On route we did a detour to the Olympic Park To have a look at the Stadia .From there we motored up to the Hawkesbury river. On route had to cross the river on the Wiseman Ferry. Solomon Wiseman was the man who opened up the settlement on the Hawkesbury River and set up the ferry service, we stopped at an antique shop, typical tourist type antique shop full of non descript stuff at highly inflated prices .the temp was now climbing very high and needed refreshment .we then moved on via a dirt road to the pub that Eddy had in mind for lunch, after what seemed an age we finally arrived at the settlers Arms, temp now even higher felt very hot .Inside the pubit was like Dante’s inferno and to make it worse the pub had changed hands and the food was not that appetizing, thought we give a miss and try another one that we had past ,that was even worse, fortunately some 3klm’s back past a interesting sign, here we ventured in and this was more like it .We knew it was hot and the thermometer registered 40c and still climbing, sat out on the balcony overlooking a shallow lake that had been created by mistake when somebody opened the dam some several tens of klms upstream several years previous and had been maintained by local rainfall on the mountains. But because of the drought it was only about 30% capacity a sorry state. At least on the balcony there was a breeze and we were under the fans. The food was excellent, really wanted a siesta but time was now about 16-30 so it was going home time, got back about 19-30.
Like all over Australia whenever you decide to got out you end up covering 100’s klms and the Aussies think nothing of it but it can be somewhat daunting at times .all said it was good day even if too hot

I do try to read all your adventures as they come trough, but it is costly, will wait for the book to be published and signed by yourself, as your journey through auzzi sounds exciting, so I do hope you intend to put pen to paper (so to speak) on your return and write your memours, I think that is why you are traveling, so that you can pass your experiences on to those not able to travel. take care and stay safe, if you come across any merino farms, I would appreciate some info, photos ect so I can pass on to my clients, thanks
