Hello everybody with a wave of my hand. Well just quoting Doctor Nick Riveria from one of my favorite programmes on TV The Simpsons, well apart from Heroes which I will be missing as I will be on holiday and won't be able to download it. Still I suppose it's a small price to pay for what I am hoping will be a holiday of a lifetime.

This time next week I will reach the start of my life. Well people say it starts at 40, but to tell you the truth I feel like I have been alive for the past 39 years as well.

For my 40th birthday present my wife Tess is treating me to a suprise holiday and I have no idea where it will be. Well I have a few ideas, after having a couple of injections and being told it's a long flight I can rule out Skegness, Blackpool and Cromer. Shame, all kickass places. Also the USA I think is ruled out but I have found out you need injections to travel to Mexico, Puru and Cuba but I am sure it won't be any of those.

I am doing this travel blog so I can keep my family and friends informed of my whereabouts but if you fancy having a read of it feel free. My spelling and grammar aren't fantastic, so be a little patient with me as this hasn't got spell check. But, I like playing scrabble, so it's improving year by year.

We fly out to the mysteries destination on Sunday 12st January at 21:30 from Heathrow, so I won't be able to say much till then.

So another wave of my hand and I shall see you all soon.
