T-minus 19 days and counting

So in 19 days I will be leaving for a four month stay (give or a take a few weeks) in Amsterdam. It's crazy to think that this is actually happening. I've been planning on going abroad since I was a freshman, so this trip has been in the back of my head for a little more than two years. The fact that it's actually happening and is no longer just a plan is tripping me out. I'm ridiculously excited about going, and have all sorts of romantacized notions of living in Amsterdam and traipsing around Europe with adventerous young backpackers. Still, it will be rather sad to leave mis amigos y mi familia behind. The worst part so far is the wait. So many of my friends have already left and I still have around three weeks before I go.

Have fun in Amsterdam. I have some friends who were at Maastricht last semester and they had a great time in the Netherlands.
