Talk About Breakfast Food

Eating the food here is a huge part of the experience for me. Breakfast has always been my favorite meal and the breakfasts here don't disappoint. I eat alot of Masala Dosa, which is some sort of fried dish with spicy potatoes inside. You dip it in chutney. I also eat Idly when I'm not as hungry because it's a smaller portion and less greasy. The plain idly has rice as the main ingredient and probably the healthiest breakfast you can get here that's not fruit.
Your best bet is to go to breakfast with Indians so that you can eat the way they do, although that's not always guaranteed. For instance, you eat masala dosa with your hands and idly with two spoons. But some Indians eat with silverware. You will probably not be penalized for eating with your right hand but you can get spoons at almost any restaurant. Granted, I haven't left the state of Karnataka so I make no claims for the other states in India but I'm guessing spoons are easy to come by.
The drink of choice seems to be tea. You can also get coffee but the basis is the same...tea or coffee and milk. Very flavorful. And it almost always comes in a little metal cup which means you'll burn your hands if you don't carry it properly.
It seems like breakfast is always served on the silver metal plates. I don't know if it's a standard plate across all of India or not but everywhere I eat breakfast I get it on a silver metal plate.

Things that i eat with hand in US pizza,fries,burger,subs, wings,burrito,taco,bbq, and a lot more. Somehow when Indians eat their food with hands become so weird. hmm
