Sums up Bangkok pretty nicely!
Wow! Thailand has a wonderful rhythm, and Bangkok carries the up-beat melody! Bangkok is busy, bright, and sexy. There are markets upon markets selling everything from glass noodles to fallic shaped lighters. The trees and buildings are decorated with colour fairey lights and tuk-tuks,and bicycles wizz round corners. Its distictively more healthy here, in terms of grub. I have access to all the vegetables and fruit my heart could desire! Also Thai Buddhist monks stroll down the street in their bright orange robes. Females are forbidden to touch them, or point your feet at them, which im careful to adhere to, but is difficult as the Tibetan monks were more open to holding hands, and im nervous i offend one of them in anyway. Also its a sin of all sins to put your feet on furniture. This is difficult for me, but perservering. In general, the Thai are very cool, happy, funky and breathtakingly good-looking!

Out of the few days we have spent here, we visited a Pat-Pong show (jaw falls to floor at images flash through my mind), vistied a few beautiful oriental influenced temples and saw a few massive towering golden buddhas. We went to a few go-go bars and traveller hot points(=bars!).

Where we are staying is the centre for travellers, which is a nice contrast to India, but also looking forward to a closer inspection of Thai culture underneath all the hussle and bussle of tourism.

I really think Im gonna like it here.

Caught up - Merry Christmas
Well Emmachan, that's me finally caught up on yer blog again (only a month gone by since last I looked!). Even more jealous of you being in Thailand than when you were in Goa, although you can keep the touristy bits (bars and crowded beaches etc). Never mind! Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and look forward to yer further adventures. Monkey Mike
