Gaspesie

In this trip, we visit the Quebec's eastern regions of Bas St-Laurent and Gaspesie. First region sits in the estuary of St-Lawrence river and second one in the St-Lawrence gulf.

First stop was 'Le bic' national park. It's a very scenic region, with cliffs, many small bays, emerging rocks, salt marshes, etc....

Park has many hiking trails of all difficulties along with bike trails. Sea kayak excursions are also possible.

It's a good spot to observe sea birds. Seals are also to be seen, but they are shy and you need to be patient. There are 2 types of seals: common seal and gray seal. The common seal is smaller with a cute face and an all over pale grey color with small black spots. The gray seal is larger, darker and have a dog face. There was a lot of people when we visit, so it was hard to see them, but with time and a zoom, we were able to spot some. They were really far compared to other sightings we did in the past, but it's nature, so it's okay. :-)
