I'm surviving. My legs are so sore, I've been staggering around. Walking is not enjoyable. Also, I've spent most of the day in my room. Partially because of my sunburn. Mostly because Mitch and I had a rather serious misunderstanding last night, and he's quite mad at me. I tried to go downstairs once, but it was awkward and horrible.

Ned is fantastic. This morning he stopped me when I said I was having a bad day, and I ended up telling him all about it. He told me I wasn't permitted to stay in my room, and if I tried it, he'd bring the party to me. So far, it hasn't happened. Maybe soon. lol But ya, he gave me a hug, and made me laugh a little bit, so he is excellent.

I'm all packed and ready to go tomorrow morning. Ok, well packed. Definitely not ready to leave. If our work schedule allows, we're coming back to this hostel for Christmas (and hopefully new years, but I can't quite see that happening). AND when we're finished working, we're coming to stay here again.

I was thinking today that I'm completely happy and content where I am. I love this city, and I'm more relaxed than I've been in years. It reminds me a lot of Calgary. Its a bit bigger though. Amazingly enough, its a lot more friendly. Everywhere I've gone, people have no problem going totally out of their way to help. I'm really going to miss it here when we have to leave for good in a few months.

I splurged on an enormous bottle of aloe vera, and a bottle of Vitamin E lotion as well. My legs are tinged a weird greeny blue color, from the mixture of the lotions. Oh, and red. Bright, firey red, with white patches, due to the severity of the burn. There were a few times today that I considered going to the hospital. But, everyone here said I was fine, so I took their advice.

Sunburn sounds awful - if you are near a drug store show the pharmacist and see what they think - maybe they have the aloe gel that will also numb the skin a bit (it has lidocaine or something in it). Sydney sounds like a great city - maybe people are so helpfull because they like your accent?
