We arrive at Alice Springs after a 2 hour or so flight. We meet Martin and coach to Oasis Hotel All Seasons via the War memorial which gives us a view of Alice ( as the natives call it). Then we have an orientation by Martin and we get settled in our rooms by lunch time. After lunch we go to the Royal Flying Doctor Service. Then we have a lecture on Aboriginal Culture and Heritage. The rest of our time was free except for dinner which was a buffet of cold cuts. It's hot in Alice.

Happy Thanksgiving
Hi Martha, 6 of your trip blogs suddenly appeared, Austrailia is wonderfully weird and interesting. Your trip is amazingly strenuous and I see you are resting as much as you can. I picked up mom's ashes yesterday and cannot get it that the small box I can carry under one arm was her body. I am very grateful today for the fact our family is connected and supportive of eachother, what a gift we have in such an estranted world. I hope you and John and everyone on the trip have a great Thanksgiving Day and that you feel better! Sincerely, Shirley
