Living Large

The dollar goes far here. Very far.

After an easy train and taxi from the Airport during some torrential rain (it is monsoon season) we checked in to the Ritz Carlton in Kuala Lumpur ($85 a night!) and were informed that we were being upgraded to the residences. Sounded great to us but upon entering the room, my mind was blown. This is a full apartment, bigger (and nicer) than our home. Two bedrooms and four bathrooms, plus two living areas, an office and a full kitchen. Four bathrooms!!! Luxury is one thing, but this is over the top. Nice view of the Petronas Towers from our window. It's going to be a fun three days here.

wow...
Budget not going quite as far in australia. i've been sleeping in the back seat of a Toyota Yarvis. Smallest car i have ever been in, let alone slept.
