We were not eliminated on this leg of the race.
$10K fine if you feed the monkeys, good thing I didn't see any. Just rounding out our first stop of the trip in Singapore sitting in the First Class lounge for Singapore Air. (barely more expensive than coach + free food and drinks - good tip for anyone traveling this way) So the past two days...

-Singapore airport is infinitely cooler than Tokyo.
-It's hot and humid here. We're talking 90s and damp. Like Houston in August, but worse. Yikes! I was sweating through my shirt in 15 minutes. Thank goodness for AC everywhere.
-It's already Xmas here. Decorations are lining the streets.
-We hit up Orchard road for some mega mall madness. So many stores, very British.
-Visited "The Battle Box" which was the HQ for the allied forces in Singapore during WWII before they surrendered the city. Serious bunker. Nice to see some people appreciative for the US military. They know they would all be speaking Japanese if it weren't for our involvement and are quite gracious about it.
-Checked out a true "Singapore Sling" at Raffles. Tasty drink at a very swank hotel.
-Night time = "Night safari" at the Singapore Zoo (Thanks Andy for the tip!)

Massive downtown
All the nocturnal creatures hanging out for all too see in the dark. I fell asleep on the tram (jet lag?) but I saw all the good stuff still. Note to all: Bats Poop! and if you stand under them in the dark, your shirt might be covered in guano just like the writer's. 😊

Some pics attached.
